Kia ora! I’m Elaine and I live in beautiful Auckland with my husband.
Being a celebrant is pure joy! I love bringing people together to help them mark significant events in their lives in a way that’s genuine and meaningful.
My background is in communications, public speaking, coaching and presentation skills training. In my spare time you’ll often find me out on long walks or catching up with friends over a great coffee.
P.S. I am also known as ‘Spike’ in case you’re wondering about the website name ‘spike.kiwi’!
Congratulations on picking the date for your big day!
I’d love to help you create a truly memorable occasion – one you’ll look back on and cherish.
Your wedding ceremony is absolutely all about you and what you want. My role is to listen to your wishes; help you craft a warm and meaningful ceremony; be a safe and calm pair of hands from start to finish; do all the relevant legal bits, plus I’ll add the ‘sparkle’ you deserve. All of which I’ll do in a fun, friendly and caring way.
The first step is for you to get in touch and we can arrange an obligation-free 30 minute introductory meeting. We’ll talk through what you would like, and you can decide if I’m the right person for you. It’s vital that you feel a connection with me and know that I’m the right celebrant to guide you through your special ceremony.
I’m able to travel outside Auckland and can officiate at ceremonies on any day of the week.
I can’t wait to hear your plans!
A personalised ceremony makes all the difference to your wedding day and my desire is to give you the ceremony you’ve always dreamed of.
All my ceremonies include that ‘special something’, and I promise to deliver your ceremony with warmth and sparkle.
Simple and sweet
This ceremony will suit couples who want something wonderful but without too much fuss and
is better suited to smaller weddings of 30 guests or less.
This option includes one meeting with me, a standard wedding script with some personal touches, plus the all-important legal bits.
Stylish and significant
This ceremony caters for couples who want more than the ‘simple and sweet’ and will appeal to couples who like some personal touches but don’t require the full ‘bespoke and beautiful’ ceremony.
This option includes one meeting with me; a personalised wedding script which can include your own vows and readings; a rehearsal, plus the all-important legal bits.
Bespoke and beautiful
A specially-created ceremony for couples who want the whole works! It is perfect for any size wedding and allows for extra details and sparkle to be included.
I can add significant personal touches to your ceremony: personalised vows; readings; stories and more, which will create a truly special and memorable occasion and a beautiful and romantic ceremony.
This option includes two meetings with me; a fully-personalised script and bespoke wedding ceremony; a rehearsal, plus the all-important legal bits.
Please note: If you have big dreams, I may be able to accommodate them. Please let me know your ideas and I’ll create a special package and pricing just for you!
Additional service: I can also help you to write and rehearse your wedding reception speeches! Price on asking.
These prices are based on ceremonies held within 30km of the Auckland CBD. For travel outside of this area an additional fee may apply. All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.
As well as weddings, I offer a range of other ceremonies. My aim with all of them is to provide a kind, caring and professional experience – one that suits the nature of the occasion and meets your specific needs.
Funerals: The honouring of a life and the sharing of love, respect, and sorrow for the loss of someone dear to us.
Baby namings: A joyful occasion celebrating the arrival of your little one.
Vow renewals: Reaffirming your wedding vows (without the legal bits) and acknowledging your ongoing love.
Civil unions: For those of you who prefer this, however, marriage is available to everyone.
Pet funerals: Saying goodbye to that special furry friend.
Elaine is proud to be a member of the Celebrants' Association of New Zealand
